I was reading that a large porn website was banning access from North Carolina to protest their new LGBT law.

So the social conservatives get one of their laws passed, and in retaliation, a bunch of pornographers decide to hand them another win.

Up front, I'll be clear, I don't buy in to so-con and passing laws much. That said, the NC law was not too much about a social conservative pet issue. It was a pretty common sense and mild thing. Go to the bathroom of the gender on your birth cert. It even allowed for trannies to use their new one "if" the birth certificate was changed. I bet 90% of the world supports this idea and doesn't want weirdos around their kids. I am one of those. I have an opposite gender child and the understanding with public bathrooms is for her to yell really loud if something is wrong and I will come fix it. So yeah, me outside the ladies room, armed, waiting on my kid is in no mood for Bruce??//Kaitlyn to be in there with my kid.

And I really hope the left doubles down on the boycotts and screaming. I hope this is the issue of the age. Because it ought to implode them. How many of the lefties with kids really believe their kid should respect some trannies right to use the same facilities? How many of those cute easily triggered college girls? They have to go along with the rallying cry, but deep down in they must know how hollow their whole movement is.

True. But to the people throwing a crybully tantrum about it, it is very much a social conservative law. Which just makes it so funny that a porn site thinks it will punish social conservatives by declining to sell porn to people in their state.

Yep. I've seen a lot more hard left idiots who are straight who scream for the cause than actual gays- most of the gays I know are quiet normal people who have no interest in the "movement" at all.

Don't be too sure, especially about those cute college girls. I think a lot of them have drunk the Kool-Aid and are (at least until SomethingBadHappensâ„¢) true believers. They won't begin to understand unless/until they have to use a female restroom that's co-occupied by a male trannie perv ... and they might not get it even then, unless SomethingBadHappensâ„¢.

My question, among others, to the activitards remains this:  What is to stop a male, who looks like a male, who acts like a male, who dresses like a male to simply go into a women's rest room and maintain when confronted that he is really a woman inside, identifies as a woman inside, but doesn't look or act that way in order to have less trouble, but just has to pee (while taking pics because doing that helps to not trigger his emotional pain at having to do what he does, just to pee, and he can look at the pics to calm his emotions concerning the micro-aggressions he senses?)  Huh, huh, huh?

My feeling is that anyone born as a he who wants to "self-identify" as a female and use the female rest rooms should not be allowed to do so unless and until he has had surgery to make him a "her."

Talk about Phil Collins land of confusion. I walked into the bathroom at the movies recently and it was all stalls. Got real confused quick, backed out to see the sign on the door. Yeah, I don't read pictures so well.

The question remains. If a man who claims to be a woman has to be let into a women's restroom, and if gender is a fluid concept, there's no legitimate reason to keep anyone out of said restroom. So he looks like a guy? Says who? "Looks like a guy" is no longer allowed to have any meaning. So he's attracted to women? Well, we're not keeping Lesbians out. But he's never identified as a woman before, you say? Well, who are you to say, and in any case, he identifies as a woman know.

On the conservative side, they want a blood test with a chromosome typing to prove who you are before entering a bathroom, on the left, they want anyone who identifies as anyone to use whatever bathroom they choose.

There are genetic men out there that live, dress and identify as women, as mentioned above, you wouldn't know the difference unless they told you.
I seriously have no problem with them using the bathroom with my daughter, though I don't hang out in women's bathrooms myself, I don't think people prance around with their pants down in them.  
OTOH, there are perverts that will take advantage of the situation- it would not very difficult at all to figure out who they are and call police/security to have them removed. This is where the LGBTBBQ response falls flat- they want to protect everyone at the expense of everyone else.

The problem isn't transgendered people using the bathroom they identify with, its the all-or-none attitude on both ends of the spectrum.

This whole argument is more proof that we live in an insane asylum run by the inmates.  We have had men and women potties since the one holer outhouse evolved into a two holer outhouse.  It has worked very well and has confused no one except the particularly seriously mentally ill.  My suggestion is when some seriously mentally ill person who is confused about his/her gender to 1.  Take a peek down the front and see if there is a dangly bit or not.  2.  Laugh them out of the office.

Most conservatives are fine with creating an extra bathroom for people who are confused. Further, the very law we are discussing has provisions for people who have surgically altered themselves to appear to be a different sex. Conservatives have offered accommodations on this and many other issues. 

The problem is the left doesn't want accommodations. They want to force others to accept their own delusions about biology and reality. Every knee must bow, even in the bathroom.

Look at it from this angle guys, you let a male in a closed off room with women of all ages from the very young to the very old where they are at their most vulnerable and the male has the advantage of both concealment and physical size and strength (on average) and those women are open to robbery, assault, molestation, rape and murder at the hands of larger, stronger opponents. Yes, that can and does happen anyway BUT there is a much higher chance of it getting noticed when it is out of the norm.

As to "true trannys," just like now, unless they look like that hideous abortion Jenner, often you won't notice them and in a ladies room, they won't be waving it about anyway.

BTW: I've been at events (City Stages Music Festival, Birmingham, AL) where there weren't enough women's restrooms and they started coming in the men's room to pee. The guys were at the urinals and the ladies were queued up for the stalls. There were a few drunk idiots that tried to be cute and show their junk but a line of women pointing and laughing tends to take care of that pretty well IIRC.
