China’s EVs Hit by Major Scandal! Multiple Models Show Electric Leaks, BYD Causes Brain Hemorrhage   ---  China Observer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7PubmPu-3I

I thought this was an interesting video.  Essentially talks about a Chinese electrical car that had the car body/frame electrified.  Sounded to me like very poor insulation somewhere.  The video keeps referring to it as a leak; maybe a translation error.  Anyway, the description I heard sounds like the guy got electrocuted which caused internal burns.  Might have been more to it that I didn't catch.

This isn't something I really considered with EV's.  A quick search says Tesla cars run at 350 to 400 volts which is more than enough.  I assume there should have been some sort of ground fault detection or other safety mechanism that wasn't working.

Conversely, the first SSD I used was a 1TB Western Digital Green. It failed -- mercifully a couple of weeks before the warranty expired, and I was able to initiate a warranty claim quickly enough to get it replaced. But the Green is W-D's entry level product, and I don't trust it, so I have never installed the replacement.. I have a couple of Western Digital Blue SSDs that haven't given any problems. Also no problems with the Samsung EVOs.

I've got a WD black 1TB NVME in the laptop I'm using now. No problems at 6 months.

I don’t know anything about the Appeal to Heaven flag.

After my not so bright neighbor started flying an Iraqi flag (he almost certainly thinks it’s a Palestinian flag) we started flying a “We stand with Isreal” flag

Now he’s flying a Vietnam flag. *expletive deleted*er is playing with fire, the neighbor to the right of me fought in Vietnam and is terminal with a lung disease. He might decide to give the methhead commie a dose of .270 Winchester.

In addition to Samsung, I've had zero issues with Crucial MX500 in several machines for years.

FWIW, I'm using a Windows 7 machine with a 1TB HDD and a 1TB ext. Seagate HDD.  This machine is at least 10 years old and still works well for me.  Software includes Photoshop 6, bought when I was taking classes 23 years ago and Office 2K of which I only use Word and Excel.
The one thing I have noticed was this past winter when I first turned the tower on and there was a "whine" from the platters spinning up.  After a couple of minutes, that sound went away.  Since the weather has gotten warmer, that no longer happens on start-up.
I hope to get this to last until this fall as I'm hoping to get it in the shop and have them listen to that sound and determine the actual cause.  IF it is the HD, I'm going to see if they can clone it to a similar HD and replace the older one.

Big cities tended to be population sinks, which could not keep their population steady from reproduction.  Instead, they depended in influxes of people from the countryside.

AND, with the crowding and poor sanitation in the growing cities, that explains the number of deaths from infectious causes.
