Polar bears are bursting into flames?

They all drowned before that could happen because you didn't go see An Inconvenient Truth back in 2006
But penguins are suppose to start bursting into flames by 2028 if you don't buy a EV, give up your gas stove, and send Greta all your money by the end of next week. Ever see penguins running around on fire? It's sad and it'll be all your fault if you don't act now.

Penny is 13; I think she'll make it to 15.  She is still in good health but obviously declining (arthritis but it's not bad yet, and I think I'm starting to see cataracts, and her hearing might be going)  She's a "Miniature Australian Shepherd" but she looks more like a huge Pomeranian than an Aussie.  She's a little over 30 pounds and the vet says she should be closer to 25 pounds.  She does have a herding instinct.

One theory is that, as the windows heat up in direct sun, the pressure builds up in the window and the glass is flexing ever so slightly... just enough to trigger this effect.
Take a flashlight and hold it face to face against the inside of the inside pane, near the edge. If you can see the reflection of the bulb on the inside of the outer pane, make a mental note of it's position. That offset between the flashlight and the reflection is a function of the space between the panes.

Now, slide the flashlight to the center of the inside pane. Where is the position of the reflection? Does the reflection remain in the same relative position as near the edge, or does it move?

The amount of movement reveals an inconsistent void, indicating a deflection between the two, theoretically parallel, surfaces.

I'm going to provide some open source data, and then not expound on it at all. Draw your own conclusions.

U.S. officials are sounding the alarm over an increase in foreigners caught recording American military bases.

Chinese nationals tried to enter U.S. military sites more than 100 times last year, often posing as tourists or food delivery drivers for DoorDash

The increasing frequency of unauthorized drone incidents at domestic US bases paints a concerning picture for the US military. In February 2024, Air Force jets were forced to take evasive maneuvers to avoid colliding with drones flying in restricted airspace over the Arizona desert

Two Jordanians trying to get aboard Quantico in Virginia and Chinese nationals attempting to access U.S. military bases and other sensitive sites up to 100 times led a North Carolina senator and 12 colleagues to demand answers from Homeland Security.

The incident in northern Virginia happened May 3, with two people in a box truck posing as Amazon subcontractors. A letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas led by U.S. Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C., notes a March 27 incident at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Training Center Twentynine Palms in California and another at Fort Wainwright in Alaska.

Sad. That was one very photogenic dog. But yeah, a very good run.

I think I've only had one dog, Ruger, who made it past 10 or so. I think she was around 6 months when I got her, so she would have been pushing 12, I think.

Nikky I think was around 9.

Mason was around 8.5. I really thought I was going to be the giant breed lifespan barrier with him. Then... lung cancer. He's been gone almost exactly 10 years (29 May).

Seren will be 8 in a month or two. I have hope with her, but she's got lymphoma (3 months after her last chemo treatment and she's still in remission!) and she's also showing her age with arthritis. The Galliprant and red light therapy I'm doing with her have made a word of difference in her mobility, but she's also a giant breed dog.

I saw that and my first thought was that 18 was a really good run. I can only hope that Steve would make it close to that. Of my dogs before Steve, Tara, a lab/GSD mix, made it to 13, and Romy, a lab, made it to 15.

Asking which river and which sea are being referred to in 'From the river to the sea Palestine will be free' is a hostile act

They have no idea what the meaning of what they're chanting even means. Not shocking to me at least.

Not to worry. After the protestors conferred and tried to figure it out, but couldn't, they decided to switch to the far more understandable "DEATH TO ISRAEL, DEATH TO THE UNITED STATES" chant.

Does anyone know of a maker of No. 4 buck rounds that does a top wad roll crimp instead of a folded crimp?

I have 00 buck rounds from S&B that have a top wad roll crimp, which results in a hull that can fit an extra layer of 00 pellets -- 12 instead of the usual 9.

I figure that a similar No. 4 round would have enough extra room for up to 32 or so pellets.

Hum... well it looks like S&B also makes No 4 buck with a top wad roll crimp in 2 3/4". Interesting. Now to find some.

OK, Ammoman.com has it. But, they're only putting 27 pellets in the shell... only 3 more than what Winchester & Remington puts in their fold crimped shells.

Not sure only 3 extra pellets is worth it. I think I'll just stick with my Winchester & Remington No. 4.
