But democracy!

🚨 JUST IN: Joe Biden will NOT appear on the Ohio ballot in November as of right now, according to the Ohio Secretary of State

The Democratic Party has refused to follow state law requiring both parties to officially nominate their presidents 90 days before an election. Democrats aren’t doing that until 75 days prior.

And now, since the legislature has adjourned, the law cannot be changed, and Secretary of State Frank LaRose cannot make an exception.

This oughta be interesting!

I think they're gonna martyr him, and figure some way of appointing a president... Here in Missouri, we had a critter augur in his private plane, but they kept him on the ballot, and appointed his wife.. Jean Carnahan... Google Mel Carnahan too... "I'm Still With Mel" was the slogan.

Oh, and it's gonna be a white guy with a "ghost gun."

Maybe some good news in Portland DA wise assuming they don't tie his hands

Portland DA Mike Schmidt loses election to Nathan Vasquez after his Soros-backed soft-on-crime policies were blamed for ruining city

While I live outside of Multnomah County, I do work there and can only hope that this is the start of the change we need.   Because I know the police are tired of the bad guys they arrest, sometimes at great personal risk, being let go before the ink is even dry on their reports - and that is only in part hyperbole.  There have literally been cases that I know about where bad guy is released before the arresting officer has finished their arrest report.

About 15 years ago I bought a packet of three 12 gauge flechette rounds but never fired one.  I dissected one and without testing, I figured they wouldn't really fly point first reliably so they're never seen the inside of a 12ga chamber.  I see they're still on the market, but I wonder if this is because of the gimmick factor or their real effectiveness.

Anybody ever use them?

Not something I'd ever use for real.  I could see getting some as a novelty, but using then in self defense situations would be asking for lawfare.  It's super dumb.  Deadly force is either justified or not.  Ammo choice doesn't really play into that. But there are too many DA's that don't really believe in 2A for me to risk giving them an excuse to prosecute what would otherwise be am easy case for self defense.

I just paid $3.429 for unleaded regular (with ethanol) at the discount club. That's down 5 cents since two weeks ago.

Portland's progressive District Attorney Mike Schmidt has conceded victory to a tough-on-crime challenger after his policies were blamed for ruining the city.

Schmidt, who is the prosecutor for Multnomah County, which covers the Oregon city, conceded the race to Nathan Vasquez shortly after 7pm ET Wednesday.

Voter counts are ongoing, but Vasquez has secured around 54% of votes, with Schmidt trailing well behind on 45%.

The Soros-backed progressive was elected with 77 percent of the vote in 2020 after touting a host of 'equity'-focused policies, in a county that has not voted for a Republican president since 1960.

'He set the bar incredibly low for me, and when I come into office, it will literally be me trying not to trip over that bar,' Vasquez said.
