Does this act reopen the machine gun registry?

That would make it more interesting.  I don't like paying the $200 tax stamp, but if they are truly going for passing a new bill, go for more than that.

We are so habituated to the requirements of the NFA (et alia) that we no longer question things like a machine gun registry --open or closed.

"...go for more than that"  is unclear.

Did you mean go for more than the $200, or go for more relaxations of the requirements?

Put the reader's head on your shoulders.

Given Qualified Immunity, it's just coming out of Texas' taxpayers pockets, or Federal taxpayer pockets.

Just read a news report that said both drivers escaped without serious injury, though I'm guessing the seat of their pants didn't.

Settlement with the city in one lawsuit over lack of police action

Quote
On the eve of the second anniversary of the Uvalde elementary school massacre, 19 victims' families reached a $2 million settlement with the city and announced they are suing nearly 100 'cowardly' state troopers.

But more lawsuits ongoing and on the way including the one mentioned above and with Uvalde County, Texas, and "federal government"

Quote
'Yes, we are suing the state of Texas,' the lawyer added.

Koskoff also announced a separate lawsuit against the federal government, who had the most cops in attendance, would be filed in the future.

Price had dropped to $2.94 at the Murphy's we usually go to.  It was $3.35 earlier today, and just dropped to $3.03 this afternoon.  Don't know why the yo-yo in prices.
The Raceway just down the hill was $3.05 a few days ago.  It's $3.39 this afternoon.  I suppose it might yo-yo, too.

The Roundtable / Re: Buck Shot

I am sure the choke would change a lot.  Last time I patterned buck shot, mine spread a bit more than what the videos showed.  What I loved seeing was the #4 buck penetrating all the way through the block and stopping.  I know some are usually concerned about over-penetration.

I will say the flight control wad that Federal sells is very good.  From what I saw, it holds the shot together for 10 yards or so out of the muzzle.
