I'm definitely not moving to Albuquerque

That would be why.  Holy crap, does that cop think he's in a frickin' action movie????

What would you suggest as a more prudent plan?
I did find in interesting that they put out a use deadly force announcement over the radio.

Not rabbit humping the trigger while driving through the middle of an urban area?  There's no way in hell that cop was hitting much, especially given that he went through at least one magazine....

Most police departments specifically forbid firing from a moving vehicle, and with good reason.

No worries.., someone in the comments section explained that the cop was using some sort of military grade holographic aimbot scope so all of his shots were hits. [ar15] [ar15]

I did not believe what I read upthread, I thought it was a joke/onion deal.

That pooch got screwed, nice & thorough-like.  No quick wham-bam-thank-you-Fluffy.  Dude bought Fluffy a nice dinner, plied her with wine, some heavy petting--all the while Barry White plays in the background.

Having now seen it, I would like to see another article, maybe dated the next day, where it turns out the LEO's superior officer beat him to death with the AR15 to the acclaim of the town constabulary.

I would not hold your breath. In the radio traffic they pretty much told them they could kill him. And I would have to see where they were shooting before I could guess more. It was out and apparently no one else got shot unless it was one of the 3 wounded cops. It was a pale guy they killed so no demonstrations or investigations.

Not going to happen. This sort of thing is not uncommon in Albuquerque. APD has made screwing the pooch an art form.

Stories like this bother me.

You know, one of these days the inaccurate spray of bullets from a trigger happy LEO is going to prompt accurate return fire from someone who wasn't originally involved . . .

I mean, if random bullets start zinging through your walls or windows, does it really matter who's pulling the trigger?

Yeah, that dot'll hit right where you point it... it's a bit harder to keep it steady when going down the street, especially at high speed.

Driven through there going to and from Sierra Vista, AZ.

I have nothing else to add on this at the moment.

So they've moved on from butt raping folks to indiscriminately firing from moving cars? Way to step up your game guys. Next they'll be recreating the MOVE house incident.

At least they haven't firebombed an apartment complex with an IED and the police helicopter.

....Yet.

You realize that was the MOVE house thing I referenced right?

The bomb in Philly was not as interesting as the decision to let it burn. They didn't like the way move shot at firemen so they watched till it was too late to save the block. It was a heck of a fire

Massive stupid is massive.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.
