Can Tallpine give us a heads up when it blows.....

Hey Guys, Yellowstone just went Ka......

 =D =D
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Yellowstone. It turned off.

Girlfriend probably did something to kill the mood....  ;)
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

Some gov employee decided the swarm was causing to much excitement among all TEOTWAWKIT circles so they took all the readings offline.

Some bureaucrat has probably already created an action plan that involves cordoning off the lake... Because, after all, there cannot be any realistic danger from a few little earthquakes.

I hope he has an office on-site.

Obama and his buddies are probably already set to move into some caves in Missouri, with a supply of food and seeds and two of each animal.

Someone should remind him to watch for a warming lake and call when it's ready for the prez's big hottub party.

Anyone remember the candid-camera skit where Funt jr. dresses as a park ranger and turns a crank as old faithful goes off?

New version: Turns the crank and... BOOM!
I promise not to duck.

They have massive underground pumps, the access to which is in a small building next to the Old Faithful Inn, that regulate all that seismic and geyser stuff in order to attract the tourists.

I know that is true because my brother and I saw the building in 1986.  When we said those comments mentioned above out loud, in front of a bunch of Japanese tourists, the park ranger gave us a dirty look.

fistful was messing around and broke it.  He was probably wearing Charby's goat chaps when he did it.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.
