Took T (6 yrs old) to Bass Pro the other day.  She liked the 'purple one!'  and her favorite color is pink but she said the pink ones were the wrong type of pink...

I'll give her some slack on the Nazi thing. I get the historic artifacts and the war trophys appeal, but I've run accross more then one table of such at gun shows that give me the heebie jeebies.
I guess it's in the way it's presented.

Oh, I agree. "Gun" shows around here have degenerated to the point that I refer to them as "Knife, beef jerky, Nazi memorabilia ... and a few guns on the side" shows.

While the gun shows I have gone to do usually have a table with nazi memorabilia, it's usually just one table, if there is even a table. I must be going to the wrong shows.

 I have a range only long range rifle that I put a brightly colored laminate stock on. I just liked the colors.

I assume when they say that, they are referring to the Pepto Bismol pink?  I always wondered why that seemed to be the only shade on sale.  The colored Sig 380 my sister in law got is much better.  The re-coated Glock 19 she has is a more reddish shade.

I assume when they say that, they are referring to the Pepto Bismol pink?  I always wondered why that seemed to be the only shade on sale.  The colored Sig 380 my sister in law got is much better.  The re-coated Glock 19 she has is a more reddish shade. 

It's not always the case, but sometimes there's technical limitations as to what kind of coloring the firearm can take, if they use actual pink polymer components.

When it's just a Duracote or Cerakote job, there's a lot more leeway.

As long is ain't Zombie Green, and doesn't involve Justin Bieber. Aside from that, I only object to stainless 1911s, two-toned pistols, and those California-style rifle stocks, where they look like something from a billiard hall.

I still like the idea of a nice blued pistol with a big bright neon stripe around it.  Basically as big as it can be and still be completely hidden by the holster.  Definitely big enough that anyone who actually saw the gun unholstered would be unable to describe it without mentioning the big neon stripe.

Exactly.  That's my biggest concern with open carry; some anti going around claiming to have been threatened with a drawn gun.  If they can't properly ID something as obvious as that, it makes a good case for going after them for a false report.
