Do any of y'all belong to this gym chain? There is one near me, and since I sort of long-term loaned by torturecycle to a guy who had a stroke, I'm thinking about a membership...

From everything I've heard, they're considered to be the McDonalds of gyms. Cheap, ubiquitous, not spectacular.

Even though they advertise "no contract" you can't go without being a member and giving them your financial info so they can auto debit your account. Good luck stopping collection attempts if you decide to cancel your "membership."

What kind of exercises are you looking at doing? Over 90% of the stuff you can do at the gym, you can easily do at home, with very little equipment, or depending on your goals, no equipment.

Recumbent bike, very low impact. And a good one costs more than I'd drop over the next few years. The guy who had the stroke is getting good results with the therapy, so I'm not going to ask for mine back for a good bit.

All you need is a yoga pad/ground pad and some ankle weights. You didn't do the "bicycle" in basic training?
