When I heard one dead, I hoped it was the shooter, as is often the case.
Sadly, it appears he survived.

I have the usual questions, some of which may (or may not) be answered as more news filters out:
- Rifle obtained legally?
- "Assault weapon," or not?
- Islamic terrorism?
- Is the synagogue a gun-free zone?
Then there's my customary disdain for public officials who basically
lie to downplay the seriousness of such incidents. In this case:
As the suspect fled the scene, an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent who was in the synagogue at the time of the shooting opened fire on the suspect, missing the man but striking his vehicle, San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said.

Off duty BP agent did not have a carry gun. He had to go retrieve a firearm that was hidden away in the building.

Reading his gun may have gun jammed.
Police say the suspect is a resident of San Diego who was armed with an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle. There is initial suspicion that the weapon may have jammed during the shooting, limiting the loss of life.

Let's see -- if a shooter loves Trump, then it's Trump's fault because he incites his followers to commit random acts of hatred and violence.

Not "bombed." In the kid's manifesto he claims to have set a fire at a mosque, but it was spotted and extinguished before doing any real damage.
