Hmm. I almost always have at least two flashlights on me, actually - an 'original' brass 'Peak' flashlight (looks like an Arc AAA down to the details), and a pressure-sensitive LED light I got free with a headlamp - both on my key chain.
I also keep a LED-conversion Maglite in my jacket pocket. It's not really needed for the warmer months or when I'm not camping - ie, when I'm not wearing a jacket - so it just stays in there. It's had the same set of batteries for the past 2 years (or so) now, since they came out, and still serves its purpose.
Then, for trips, I'll have a 3-LED headlamp in my "goes with me everywhere" bag. I can't count how many times this has come in handy; I can not think of a single mounting option for a flashlight which would even be half as universally useful. Camping, emergency car repair, fishing, hunting, walking at night - you name it, it's superior.
I also always carry a Swiss Army Knife and a number of other tools; comes in real handy: someone needs something, and it's on my person already.
