  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

So, is there even a snowballs chance in hades that this will pass?
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

This is unfair to the population of Vermont.

You guys should do what Alaska did...

Yes, but it will have an amendment that outlaws the private ownership of most handguns so it will be meaningless. laugh

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I thought MB lived in Israel.

Living in Israel is not inherently contradictory to his statement.

For example, "California should do what the Netherlands did and just legalize the reefer."

Just because I live in Alaska doesn't make my opinion less valid.

Just pointing out that MicroBalrog is not "you guys," that's all.  Didn't say he couldn't have an opinion.  Sheesh.  Tongue

Sure, he can have an opinion, however it's an opinion based on what appears to be a flaw in his interpretation of the proposed law.

So we're allowed to correct that.

Personally, I'd like to see a section in there that allows CCW holders to carry in most parts of federal land/property legally.  Things like prisons, controlled military areas, can be exemptions.

*Military personnel in uniform are a special case.  Personally, I think that if the military doesn't feel the need to issue you something that you should be able to wear what you want, as long as it meets the requirements.  I'd probably wear open carry my 1911 in that case, loaded with nice militarily legal FMJ.
