I stumped it with:
1 my wife
2 Sora (from Kingdom Hearts)
3 Eric the Red
4 Pliny the elder

Wow, you stumped it with your wife.     I mean, unless your wife is a celebrity or something, why bother?

And Sora?  Everyone knows Sora, right?  Who's Sora?

First time I beat it with Whitey Bulger, but only maybe because he's sort of a local (anti) hero. Stumped it with Zoey fro Left 4 Dead, but she was in the list at the end.  Didn't get Jared, the subway guy either.

I tried The Shadow, but it guessed V.
I tried Otis, but it guessed Marley.
I tried King Priam, but it guessed Zeus.

It got The Doctor correct.  It even showed the picture of David Tennant that I was thinking of.
I'm guessing that it's programmed to think clustering, so I went for Rose Tyler next, and it nailed it.
I tried K-9 next, but it guessed Haro.  No clustering.
I tried Donna Noble, and it guessed Rose Tyler again.  Close, I guess.
I tried Davros, and it guessed Gaius Baltar, whoever that is.
I tried a Dalek, and it guessed Robocop.... not bad.  I tried it twice more, and it finally got it on the third try.

It got Homer Simpson pretty easily.
I tried Bleeding Gums Murphy, but it guessed Frank Grimes.
I tried The Wizard of Oz, and it guessed Dumbledore.
I tried Quigley, but it guessed Indiana Jones.  I could see it circling around that, so it's clearly smart enough to try to narrow down on a character.
I tried Egon Spengler, and it got Tyler Durden... ok, not even close.  It asked me about hair color four times.
I tried Slimer, and it guessed "Nobody."
I tried Kryten, and it guessed Bender.  Not far off, I guess, but it did ask me the same questions repeatedly.
It got The Cat.
It got Master Shake.
It had never heard of Ace Harding.
It missed Betty Boop.
It nailed Monk.
It got Richard Nixon.
It missed Ford Prefect, but it nailed Arthur Dent.

This is really fun.

I've been trying to think of very similar characters.
Like Mal Reynolds and Admiral Adama.  Been spot on so far.

it was close, it guessed George Harrison but I was thinking
Joe Strummer, Joe was second on the list, not bad.

ROFL...

Stumped with Ben Franklin

What was funny was it suggested Joe Biden (how un-apropos).

Not even in the select list.

20 questions for all . . .

Guessed "MacGyver" for "Rin-tin-tin"

Guessed "Nicole Kidman" for "Jaclyn Smith"

Guessed "Wall-E" for "Robbie the Robot" from Forbidden Planet.

Guessed "Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks)" for "Barney Fife

Got Archie Bunker right

Most of the ones it got right were in the 19-20 question range
Ansel Adams
Teddy Roosevelt
Alfred E. Nueman
T.E. Lawrence

I beat it with
Claire Chenault
Lazarus Long
Slim Pickens
Rooster Cogburn
John Galt

Lazarus Long is now in the list, and enough people ask about him, it might narrow it down to him.
I stumped it with Mike Callahan from the Spider Robinson books, so it's definately not infalible, but it is a pretty good algorythim.(sp)
