BRECKENRIDGE (CBS 11 NEWS) – A firearms company that makes AR-15 style rifles for the iconic brand Colt, will open a plant in Breckenridge in Stephens County. Oregon company Bold Ideas confirmed the development Friday.

Bold Ideas goes by the name Colt Competition, making high accuracy rifles for competition shooting.

I saw this linked locally.  Anyone know how big an outfit this is?  The link I saw sort of implied Colt was moving, but it this seems more like a 3rd party contractor to Colt.  I could be wrong.  The article never specifically stated where they were moving from.

Local talk show had the owner of the company on today.   They're not leaving Oregon.  They're just expanding into TX.  Rather than expanding their facilities here.   Mostly due to OR's somewhat brain-damaged land-use and permitting processes.

The town where we used to live a a company that made industrial grade fabric covered structures.  Some of their products were huge and they shipped some for use in Antartica.

The town got all uppity about one clean industry, so they opened a branch in a little farm town about 100 miles away.  Eventually the place where they started got so bad about stuff that they moved the entire operation down to Mudville.

We knew the owners pretty well, as they went to our church.

So not really due to any gun laws, but still govt interference.

Maybe not on the surface, but Oregon's gun laws will likely get worse. They may just be planning ahead.
