I'm thinking that keeping me safe ain't high on her list right now. Thankfully she hates guns as much as she does motorcycles.
Questionable performance? I just re-read that.
In what way? Keep in mind you're talking to a guy who's mostly ridden dirt bikes.

New bike = you can ride it now instead of working on it for the next year or more.  No greasy hand prints on the fridge, no running to the shop for parts, no taking it to the shop for the work you can't do, more time to spend with her, possibly less spent money overall.

It's all good.

My wife has green eyes...the tank is green. I stared at the tank and fell head over heels.  >:D

I'm sorta paying cash...just in reverse. I financed it so I could drive it home yesterday. But my plan is to liquidate a few things and pay it off in one or two payments. There is no penalty for early pay off.
My wife is sort of a hoarder. She doesn't understand getting rid of anything...ever, so she is always baffled when I'm willing to part with things...particularly things I like.

I did not know this model even existed until yesterday. The shop had a lot of used bikes as well, including a Harley Fat Bob. I looked at both over the course of an hour or so....and read as many internet reviews as i could on my phone while there.  The Bolt seems to be a perfect fit for me - in size, style and power. That's the main reason I went for it. The only change I want to make on it right away, is to add a brown leather seat.

I take it you are going to stay with the single seat, it sounds as though you don't have use for a pillion.  ;)

Yep. Having some alone time is the whole purpose.

I'm saving for my next one also.  Trying to hold out long enough to get a Goldwing.  It's been 5 years since selling my last street bike, my patience is wearing thin.

I was adding it up tonight, I have owned 4 bikes since 1975, and still have 2 of them. I guess my next bike will be a trike.  ;)

I've had at least 6 street bikes in that time frame.  Had to sell every one of them, except the Goldwing which threw a rod, for one reason or another.

edited for speling.

Prior to 75, basically from 65 to 75, I had a total of 10 different bikes. That counts the Cushman, the Vespa, and small 2 strokes as I moved from 60cc to 500cc 2 strokes.
