A Dutch city has not agreed to temporarily disassemble a bridge built in 1927 to make room for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' mega-yacht, CBS MoneyWatch has learned.

A spokesperson for the mayor — and the city — on Friday told CBS MoneyWatch that Dutch press reports that Rotterdam would disassemble an historic bridge to make room for Bezos' boat were false, and that it has not received, or approved any such request.

The Amazon founder's $500 million boat, built by Netherlands-based Oceanco and scheduled to be completed soon, measures 417 feet long and must pass through Rotterdam, under its landmark bridge, to reach its owner, NL Times reported. The problem? The Koninginnebrug bridge, a steel bridge nicknamed De Hef, isn't tall enough to accommodate the ship's three masts, which exceed the 130 feet of clearance the bridge offers

That's a Starship full stack. They're suppose to stack both Starship and the booster again in a day or two down at Boca Chica.
What you saw flying last year is just the upper part of the system.

That Genie Boom lift thing... no way I'd go up in that.  I've been up about 125 feet in one, but that sucker is way too high!

That looks like the big 1500 JLG lift.  If it is, I've driven one, once, and it's an experience that encourages you to make slow, smooth control inputs, and not to move quickly on the platform.  There's a fair bit of flex in the boom itself.

We've got a genie S-85 at work that I use a fair amount, and you get used to that height pretty quick.

If y’all knew how crappy  those JLG and Genie lifts are made…and what total pains in the asses they are to work on…

Biggest one I dealt with is I got to put an ancient JLG 120 footer back together for a certain huge aerospace company. The mechanic that took it apart quit two weeks after disassembling it and we waited on parts for close to two years.
