Well, I just went and did it.  Dropped $50 on L4D so I would "own" it(rather than purchase and download).  All it gets me is a box and disc; not even a manual.

Oh well.  I'll get a good few hours out of it tomorrow.

Maybe I'll post some screens here :)

Edit: by the way, on the odd chance that you may see me online, my Steam nick is internalcombustion.

I was playing with a couple of friends this evening.

Didn't do too badly...

We found a way of dealing with the witches...

Two with automatic rifles, two with shotguns. The rifles open up first, and then the shotguns open up when she gets near.

We capped 6 witches this evening and didn't get a scratch.

Witches are not that tough.  I'm trying to get a group together who will survive with pistols only.  Anybody with me?  :D

Witches aren't nearly as tough as tanks.

But they move very fast and they do incredible amounts of damage.

Which makes them very tough unless you have a coordinated plan.

I guess the good thing is that once they are on someone, they don't move, which makes it easy to pour bullets into them... they never seem to last very long, and the victim almost always survives.  I don't play past advanced, though.
