??? What does she think a lumberjack is? Or was?  ???

Oh, I see her "explanation" later. Meh. She writes for the Atlantic, so she gets paid to make things up out of nothing. She sees some guys wearing butch duds, and beards, and realizes she could get a few column-inches out of over-thinking the whole affair.

In reality, guys sometimes like to dress more "manlier" than at other times. They will sometimes wear beards; either because they don't like shaving, or because they like the look. Or because their wife tells them it's handsome. Whatever.

I think you underestimate the depths the hipster can sink too.

I see Duluth as durable working man's clothes.

Unfortunately, they also follow the "pencilneck fit" trend, calling clothes for normal men "trim fit" and then not offering them in the stuff I want.

I don't think you have even looked at their website or flyers. They offer both trim fit and tradesman fit.

I see Duluth as durable working man's clothes. Yes, they are more expensive than the Rustlers at Walmart, but you get what you pay for.

Lumbersexuals shop here

This in spades.

Plus they make shirts that handle my inner plumber
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.

Yep, being pudgy with a longer trunk, one needs those long tailed shirts.

I have the mustache, beard and flannels as well as blue jeans and boots.

The flannels and blue jeans are something I started wearing in the late 70's and have always had in the wardrobe and as soon as I could grow a beard I did. Of course I was in my late forties before I could grow it, lol.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I've always been a boots, jeans and work shirt kind of guy, mostly because that kind of clothes is what you wear when you do work. As to the beard, I'm coming up on 21 years since I've used a razor. So I've had a beard longer than most of these hipster types have had a face.
