The question is, is there anything where it is moral/ethical/whatever for a government to do where it is not moral/ethical/whatever for an individual to do? Obviously, most people say "yes".

You and me both!  High school my son attends is too busy teaching CAD, digital design, and other STEM thngs to teach advance commie theory.

 They don't have to teach it- it is in the water.
 All they have to do is neglect to teach the antidote- which is the Declaration and the Constitution and the principals behind the Republic.
  A lot of "American History" taught in schools these days seems to focus on the Suffrage movement, Black Civil rights, and any leftist interpretation of American actions that can be portrayed in a bad light, including having the first white man step off the boat.
