Uses for old silk?
« on: December 28, 2007, 02:56:44 AM »
I have some medium weight silk underwear tops that are in need of retirement.
Anyone got any ideas for what I might be able to do with the remaining silk? I just can't bear the idea of throwing it away. Wait, I guess I could always stitch them together and make a parachute. I'll be needing a test pilot then. Volunteers?  grin

After you shine your shoes, run a silk cloth over them to make them glow.

Do you know any BP shooters?  I've heard that silk makes for great patches.

Or you could unweave it and knit yourself a dashing fler's scarf.  grin

stay safe.

Absolutely, and for him I'll be sure to use the "good" thread (wink wink).   grin

Shiny shoes and good BP patches. I KNEW the stuff was still good for something. Guess I'll be buying a BP gun or two now. Can't let the silk go to waste!  angel

Cuddle with it when sleeping.  That way you'll be able to retire your blanky.  grin laugh

Tops have more material than bottoms so,make some boxer bottoms out of them.
