Uses for old silk?

I have some medium weight silk underwear tops that are in need of retirement.
Anyone got any ideas for what I might be able to do with the remaining silk? I just can't bear the idea of throwing it away. Wait, I guess I could always stitch them together and make a parachute. I'll be needing a test pilot then. Volunteers?

After you shine your shoes, run a silk cloth over them to make them glow.

Do you know any BP shooters? I've heard that silk makes for great patches.
Or you could unweave it and knit yourself a dashing fler's scarf.
stay safe.

Absolutely, and for him I'll be sure to use the "good" thread (wink wink).
Shiny shoes and good BP patches. I KNEW the stuff was still good for something. Guess I'll be buying a BP gun or two now. Can't let the silk go to waste!

Cuddle with it when sleeping. That way you'll be able to retire your blanky.
