I've never seen anything worse.  Bad script, bad acting, bad fake southern accents.  At least Jessica Simpson looks good.

It's terrible being stuck in a hotel.

They don't have a porn channel? The acting would be better...

Regarding the Dukes movie, I never would, nor will I, glorify that rubbish by watching it, much less with any pretense of seeing something like the old tv series.

Jessica Simpson ain't Daisy Duke. angry Catherine Bach is. grin

This is why the iPod Touch is good. Movies in your pocket, just rip them before you go. Either on the little screen or via the component-out cable to the room TV.

No, anything directed or produced by Uwe Boll is. He specializes in movies adapted from video games that are so horrible that it leaves both the fans of the video game series and movie critics wanting to gouge their eyes out with sporks.  In fact, he's so bad that anytime a long time fan of a video game series hears they're going to make a movie about it, the first words out of their mouth is "oh god, please tell me Uwe Boll isn't doing it?"  followed by either sighs of relief or tears of dismay depending on the answer.

Gawd, he's making a movie based on Far Cry? Maybe Roger Korman could do it, but I doubt Boll could do it any justice.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I noticed after I looked him up in the IMBD data base.  He's probably going to butcher it.   angry

Well, I won't speak to Uwe's Production ability, but I will say he gave one of the best interviews I've ever seen. He was on Red Eye last week, and like that crew usually does, they asked about dirt on the set, and he just told it like it was. They would ask if "X" was a whiny baby on the set, expecting him to say, "Oh, I can't talk about stuff like that". Instead, he'd answer, "ya, you know his trailer vas 6" shorter than"Y's" and the guy wouldn't shut up about it. It vas very annoying..."  Anyway, I was cracking up through the whole interview.

Who was reponsible for taking Wing Commander, which had a believable premise, and making it into the horrific mess that got onto the screen?

IMBD says Chris Roberts.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0131646/

He also did Lucky Number Sleven, Lord of War and The Punisher.  undecided

Nor apparently The Creature Wasn't Nice aka as Naked Space or Spaceship

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082213/

Cindy Williams and Leslie Neilsen starred in it.

Quote from: Plot Synopsis
:  When the spaceship Vertigo stops to explore a previously unknown planet, the crew finds an unrecognized dollop of protoplasm and takes it aboard ship to return it to earth for analysis. On board, lifeform expands into an oozing person-eating monster which communicates primarily by means of a Vegas lounge act. The crew is gobbled up one after another until the two surviving crewmembers come up with a plan.

Quote from:  Review This Film
We expected "Naked Gun" style from the title also. Getting into it, we quickly found out the idiocy of this film.

We thought that one redeeming quality is that we can host a MST3K party using this film. (Although it may be TOO stupid to make fun of.)

Our overall impression is that these actors got together, got drunk, and decided to make a film.

I have to disagree with  parts of that review.  The actors did not get drunk, they got lobotomies.  I couldn't take even twenty minutes of it back when I was in college and my roommates and I could/would and did watch anything that was cheap to rent.  It's the only rental I've ever taken back and demanded my money back.  Yes, I know it was in the discount rental bin, it was still over priced.

I have seen BE.  I've also seen part of the DoH movie.  DoH has to be better, simply because you get to look at JS.   smiley

In college, they had a "best of the worst" film festival for charity. You had to pay to get OUT, not to get in.  grin

They showed Ishtar, Hudson Hawk, Howard the Duck, and Vanilla Ice's movie as a coup de grace.

IF you ever rent Liquid Sky, be sure to lock up all sharp instruments.  I would hazard to guess it is the worst movie I have ever seen.

Hudson Hawk?  It's no Citizen Kane, but how is that some kind of "worst film"?  Of course, I find Sandra Bernhardt perversely amusing.   smiley

Fake southern accents... just no excuse for a (high-budget) US-filmed movie that can't teach a proper regional-US accent. Michael Caine did a pretty impressive Texan accent in Secondhand Lions... and he's British.

But for bad movies... no. This movie couldn't hope to hold that (dis)honor.

Try Zardoz. I've watched it... two or three times. It doesn't get any better the second time. But it does inspire you to search out how in damnation somebody actually thought this film was a good idea. You will likely join the 'Zardoz Survivor Group'. The first step on your road to recovery is the following recap of the film:
http://www.agonybooth.com/recaps/Zardoz_1974.aspx
Read it before doing anything rash... like renting the movie.

Remember Nick Cage's terrible "Southern accent" from Con Air?  He would have been better off with his white-trash accent from Raising Arizona.

That was close to the worst.
