We just moved our mortgage payments to 2x per month vs on the first. We end up making an extra payment per year, the principal gets paid down quicker and we cut 8.5 yrs off the 30 yr traditional we are in.
Im not good financially and I am aware of it. My wife is an accountant, my mother in law has a Masters in Finance and my Father in law is a Realtor. We ran this through my mother in law and the financing guy at the father in laws office. It all works better for us in the long run
