Oh, I KNEW I could find one at a Catholic church.
Thankfully, I managed to find one at a Lutheran church, which was very good. I'd probably get bored with a regular liturgy, but it's OK every once in a while. Quite nice, in fact.
I was surprised how many places I looked, that didn't have a noon service. My church had them a few years ago, but no one came last year, so it was canceled this time. That fancy-pants, high-church conservative Presbyterian place didn't have one. Neither did the two Baptist churches I looked up. Nor did some of the Lutheran churches I looked at (and they were Missouri synod, which tends to be more conservative). I found one at an Anglican cathedral, but I think it was kind of far. Besides, they had the phrase "social justice" on their website. And that's always a bad sign.
Riley, sounds like you're having a Good Friday. Does it really bother you that I put your name up there? If so, I'll remove it right away. I won't leave it up too long, anyway.
