I actually got a warm and fuzzy feeling for humanity looking at those photos.  Maybe there is hope for us.

I WAS just wondering how old the shuttle (shuttle program) is. At least 25, no?

Off the top of my head I'd say more like thirty-five or more, 280. The first unpowered flights were done in the late '70s IIRC. First launch was, though, about twenty-five years ago.

BTW, that is not my text at the top, or maybe you knew that...  grin

Do they have beer up there? I thinking, after a long space walk it'd probably be nice to float around inside and have a cold brewski. I think NASA should direct some resources into developing the first space bar. Maybe they could build a lounge capsule to send up and attach to the station.  grin

Why did NASA go with the English spelling for Endeavor/Endeavour?

Maybe not quite as spectacular as the Nasa pix, these are a bit more "down to earth" . . . you can bring up the full size pictures by clicking on the embedded ones . . .
