I bought a used Mac G5 on Ebay for $750. With dual 1.8 ghz processors, 160 GB hard drive and 4 GB's of RAM, it was a good deal.
It was damaged in shipping, though. The rear support bracket and part of the lower strip on the rear left side of the case were bent. (Let's see if I can post a picture).
Rather than pay $70 to return the computer, I decided to try to get the $100 insurance from UPS (yeah, I should have insured it for the full amount). Plus, I should get my $70 shipping refunded to me.
The case is anodized aluminum. I'm trying to figure out a way to straighten the bent parts without damaging the anodized finish or discoloring the aluminum.
Any ideas?
