When it's Al Sharpton vs. the government, I don't know whom to root for.

Government, because Sharpton is the kind of scumbag who makes the government worse. If it wins here, and we get lucky, Sharpton is off the stage. We then have one less person working against our improvements. IOW, we win.

Government.

Right now, Sharpton is trying to incite a riot in NYC (not working, but he's going to keep trying), and if he were successful, and someone was shot during said riot, he'd march against guns.

Ever heard the saying 'there's no such thing as bad publicity'? Al will spin this like a top, and no good will come of it.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.

Perhaps he can share a cell with Wesley Snipes.

When it's Al Sharpton vs. the government, I don't know whom to root for.

Besides buying equipment for our soldiers, putting Sharpton behind bars is about the best use for my tax dollars that I can think of...

I'd like him to cause a scene at the DemCon before he gets put away though.

Behind bars?  I'd think we could make an exception on capital punishment being reserved for homicide.

You're kidding, right?

He's accused of commiting a tax violation.  He should recieve the same treatment as any other Joe who's done the same thing for the same amount.  Or maybe the feds could kill you when you're in arrears with them?

You're assuming that tax violation is his only crime.  I don't think it'd be too big of a stretch to find him guilty of treason.

JJ, sorry to offend.  I think he should be behind bars, since his business model is essentially to coerce money from companies.  I was agreeing with JA's hyperbole, but I wouldn't presume to speak for him, he may actually support the death penalty for tax evasion (but I hope not avoidance).  Making tax evasion a capital offense would have meant a possible death sentence for Willie Nelson back in the '80's.  I think we can all agree to oppose killing Willie Nelson before he had a chance to cover a Cyndi Lauper song would have been a ginormous mistake...

Can we make it a retroactive death penalty?  Please?  Stop him!  Before he "sings" again!

Well, judging by JJ's reaction we can't have a proactive one.  Retro is gonna be a tough sell...

He probably thought he was tax exempt.  Being his own religion and all. laugh
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
