I was watching Glenn Beck tonight and the ticker on the bottom of the screen said a sixth foot had washed ashore.

It's hard to fathom, really

So, some combination of between 3 and 6 known dead with feet washing ashore and they are not sure if they may be related....

No. They're in buoyant sneakers.

Bodies in water fall apart. The shoes float.

Huh. Has anyone ever seen mention of if these feet are cut or broken loose or how decayed they are?

According the report I heard on the radio, there doesn't appear to be any signs of how these feet we're severed, but they guess that they might be from the X-mas 2004 Tsunami......

Not really. Every time a container ship loses a shell of sneakers overboard, they float around the world for years and show up in all sorts of odd places. Someone even did a project using the serial numbers of 80,000 Nikes lost off a Korean ship to track ocean currents.

In an article in the local paper, the most recent cast-away foot ".... the leg bone was still attached to the foot bone and there was no remaining muscle. The leg bone was "cut on a straight line" just 3 to 4 inches above the ankle, she added.

"It looked like foul play. That's the first thing that came into my mind."

Hmm, cut by an ax, a saw or what?  I wonder if they can examine the bone end for tool marks to determine just how it was cut.

Heard that the 6th foot was a bear paw someone rigged up.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

According to the Seattle Times, it was a dog paw wrapped in seaweed and stuffed into a sneaker.

One foot identified. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25751813/&GT1=43001

Said he was depressed when he went missing. Won't say if he was the one wearing the shoe.

And the hoax was a dog's paw. Some people are sick...

Nothing like a resurrecting a bizzare thread from the dead.
Another foot, the eighth so far, has washed ashore in the Puget Sound region.  This time it came ashore on Whidbey Island, it was a right foot, and was not encased in a shoe.

The story is here.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

I wonder if someone was imitating that scene in "Scarface" where they used a chain saw to torture someone.
