Or would it make you happy that sterling examples of political leadership like John Kerry, John Murtha, Charlie Rangel, Al Gore, etc. would be the only ones eligible to hold office?
People who've served honorably in the military deserve a modicum of respect for their service, especially if they went in harm's way . . . but I've no doubt that there are plenty of people with
no military service at all who'd make better leaders than the examples I cited above.
