What's the difference?
« on: August 27, 2008, 09:07:25 AM »
Between   rolleyes  and  rolleyes ?

Or  cheesy and  laugh ?

Why do we have duplicates when there are so many other vitalsmilies we have to do without?

I have no clue why there are some that are repeated, while others are missing.

All I know is that when Oleg set the board up he pointed to a specific smilie set on a specific server, and I'm not going to go messing with that.

There are others that work that are not shown.

For example the wink is a ; and a ) side by side and shows up like this: Wink

Confused is 3 ? marks side by side and shows up like this: Huh?

There's probably a bunch more that work but just aren't shown in the Post Reply screen.

Oleg set this board up more than 2 years before I took an active role in its direction.

If your lives are significantly lessened by these missing smilies and making it impossible for you to make your feelings known, I'd suggest petitioning him directly.

I not that I don't know anything, Tall Pine.

I just don't give a damn.

But we really need to add Huh? and a vomit smilies to the top....maybe even a smilie that says "Abby is going to Uncle Mike's House today"....

I think this one is very fitting of some of the more recent news stories.
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

The basic ones are okay so that a sense of humor can be conveyed. If the poster comes equipped with one of those that is. laugh THR has a few too many that move, drives me batty, when I was at work and used IE I could hit the stop load button and kill them, not so with Firefox. Glocktalk is a prime example of the monkey flinging poo atmosphere you get with unchecked avatar and smiley crap.

Nah, she's just pissed off she's not cute enough to sing the national anthem.  She also hates bullpups.
