My grandpa was a pilot for PSA when 182 went down.  He lost a lot of friends on that plane.

Is this the one in San Diego that hit a small plane?

well duh, read the link and ye shall know!  rolleyes

yes, I was there in SD that day. I didn't see the actual crash but my buddies and I were up on the signal bridge of our ship afterwards about 2 miles away watching all the activity on the ground through "Big Eyes" the gigantic set of stationary binoculars they had up there. I recall the flames billowing way higher than the houses as we watched. That happened not too long after the ATC firings IIRC and we took it as a sure sign we didn't want to be up in any planes after that because it sure looked like an ATC eff up. I lost my desire to ever fly again that day, although I have a few times over the years since but still try to avoid it.

Yep.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Bacon is the candy bar of meats!

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

Yes. In addition to the crew of seven, 30 PSA employees were hitching a ride on board.
