NEW NEW DEAL FDR WOULD BE SO PROUD
« on: September 29, 2008, 02:14:29 PM »
So what will it look like.
Any FED leaks on-board?
What could they throw at us now.
What will the next currency look or sound like.
Conversion rates from one money to the next could make or break us.
Any economists in the house!

This thread is assuming you have all the ammo you will not be able to buy tomorrow.

As of this week, I'm sitting on about 25k of my handloads, feeding 24 different chamberings for around 200 firearms. I can outfit a small army all by myself.

However, we're far from a Mad Max scenario, wishful thinking aside.

FDR would probably be doing the same thing, because if this whole Wall Street mess is allowed to implode at once, everybody's precious FDIC deposits would be next.

IOW, the Fed is trying to prevent another Black Thursday.  People may indeed piss and moan, but they'd bitch even more were there to be a complete collapse.

Think about it.
"Bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round...

It wouldn't be nearly as fun as you think. Hordes of people going after any food you try to grow, every single moment of every day as cities empty out, no sewage, no trash collection...

You don't want that. Really.

No, but there are times I feel like it's inevitable and if it's gonna happen let's go ahead and get it over with so we can get on with the rebuild.

Thats why you don't live in the city.

Agreed.  So many people seem to want to be the hero in a real life Jerry Ahern novel, without realizing that there are no character shields in real life.

In a dog eat dog world, most people really are nothing but Kibbles on two legs.
