Who's watching the al roker anti-gun propaganda piece on MSNBC?
« on: November 23, 2008, 05:37:01 PM »
It was originally scheduled for this evening at 10pm, but it's on now (5pm EST).  An ATF agent called a Barrett semi-auto a "machine gun," another one talked about how a kel-tec (I think) .223 pistol could kill someone "4 football fields away," roker talked about what's available "on the streets" (in the voiceover) as he hip-fired a Thompson, etc.  I haven't seen a propaganda piece this blatant in a long time. . .

I usually like to see something for myself before I comment on it, but with MSNBC I've pretty much just decided, "why bother?" I have enough historical statistical evidence to be pretty certain which way they'll go.

it's worth watching for no other reason than to be able to explain the truth to any co-workers/family members who watch it and think it's anything like reality.

Anyone who doesn't know that MSNBC is hard left by now is just not paying attention.

Maybe they meant the PLR-16 can be heard four football fields away? Thing is obnoxiously loud.

And "on the streets"? Funny, a recent Nat Geo special on LA gangs showed some of the gangstas showing off their weapons in broad daylight on a street. One of them had an AK pistol with a MAK's stock on it. Which is a federal felony, unregistered SBR.

I did not see any BATFE goons harassing them about it. They're apparently too busy raiding legitimate businesses and calling Barrett single-shot rifles "machine guns".

And all of those pro-gun cops everyone claims to know will resign in disgust, no doubt.

They ought to have a game show on MSNBC and give a million bucks to anyone who can hit a point target 4 football fields away with a PLR-16.

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Better yet, have the ATF guy and the hippy from John Jay University have a duel at 400 yards.

Yes. PLR-16 vs shooting champion with a single shot .22 Olympic pistol. See who gets hit.

No, I meant the John Jay guy vs. the ATF guy.  That way, no matter who loses, we win =D

The show was typical sensationalism and forwarded the belief that buying guns in our society is fast and easy.

Any of those who were outraged plan on calling MSNBC or bATFE on their biases?  I believe we are about to enter a time when waiting will be used against us.

I didn't get to watch the whole thing, but I tivoed it.  I'll wait until I can watch the whole thing before complaining, but I plan to if the whole thing was as bad as what I saw.

MSNBC's parent, NBC, has a history of knowingly and deliberately broadcasting lies where guns are concerned.

Back when they were first talking about the Clinton gun ban, Tom Brokaw ran a segment about the dangers of "semi-automatic guns" while running a film clip of a fully automatic AK being fired.

NBC responded to a flurry of complaints by acknowledging the error, but in effect they claimed it wasn't deliberate or significant, and declined to broadcast a correction.

And then a couple of weeks later - knowing FULL WELL the deception involved - NBC's Brokaw did it again.

Lying b******.

I saw a blurb for it while my wife was channel-hopping that included the reference to the Barrett being a machine gun. The voice-over said something about "assault weapons" and their use use "on the streets" becoming "more and more common".

I thought, "Really? Then how come all the cases of said use aren't being trumpeted on the front page of every newspaper and magazine in the country? Could it be because...it ain't happening?!"

That was quickly followed by the thought, "They're starting it, here we go, conditioning the dumb masses for the Big Gun Grab."

I finished watching it, and it was very well done, but not for the right reasons.

I found it criminal how close they kept coming to the truth. (These are hardened, career criminals; they are NOT ordinary people) yet they come up with really wrong conclusions.

Oh, and I loved, "we test teh weapons out there on the street" (cut to full auto assault rifle)

I say it was well done because all the facts were presented; the problem being they were presented in such a way as to give the wrong conclusions.  It's obvious they went into this with "GUNS ARE BAD AND WE HAVE TO PROVE IT"

I find it amazing that the truth is so prevalant, that they stumbled over it many times, and still managed to ignore it.
