Best performances

Ever since watching Sparticus I've been intrigued by Peter Ustinov and Charles Laughton.

I already have Quo Vadis and Topkapi on my "to watch" list for Ustinov, and I've seen Witness for the Prosecution. What are some other good performances to watch from these gentlemen?

Laughton: I can't think of anything not worth watching. Mutiny on the Bounty (with Clark Cable) and Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Ustinov: his Poirot interpretations are mostly great, but definitely seek out Viva Max.

Ustinov was very entertaining in Blackbeard's Ghost. Topkapi was pretty good.

Laughton... I seem to recall Captain Kidd as pretty good.

laughton's most interesting work to me was 'the night of the hunter'-he wasn't in it but directed(his only such effort, i think) rob't. mitchum and  peter graves(the female main character was someone as well, but i don't remember who it was). a most unusual visual and emotional treatment for a 50's flick.

You ever been in a Turkish prison?
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought
