Took it to Monro this morning, and they had me in an out in about an hour.

The guy behind the counter agreed with me that on a car that old a new cat converter didn't make a lot of sense, and that welding a bridge pipe to replace the sections that had failed was a lot more reasonable.

So, $156 later (included an oil change), I can actually hear myself think again while driving.

Didn't the new law go into efect the first of the month?

Seems to me they no longer allow you to do anything while driving, except perhaps flip cigarette butts out the window.
