so a John McCain as Zardoz would be quite endearing

kind of an anti obama-joker meme

He strikes from below like a viper or on high like a penny dropped from the tallest building around!
He only has one purpose--Do bad things to good people! Mit science! What good is science if no one gets hurt?!"

Wow, I'm glad this question was asked, because I have the same problem as well.  I don't need the neighborhood kids seeing me in my skivvies.  I really like the idea of an opaque film.

Home depot sells a self stick film that is embossed translucent grids of squares

I used it on the bathroom windows for increased privacy

It was easy to apply and was reposition-able

Now that is something I should look at.  My sliding back door has full visibility into two neighbors houses.  I have those retarded vertical slat blinds that like to bind up and fall off.

Winner winner, that sounds much easier.  I've given up on wanting to bother with shades for now, since I've put darkening shades in the love den, and I'm painting the bathroom.

My wife says to go to the Dollar store and get two table runners.  Flip over one end to square it off and hang it on hooks from the top of the window.  Here is a link to what they look like:

We have those also.  Those window films are really cool (thanks for the link Harold Tuttle).

Back to the OP. Casa de la Charby has one side next to the main door, wife didn't want a stained glass look so we went with a stick on opaque plastic like what you would see on a bathroom window.
