Bumper stickers
« on: August 20, 2009, 05:04:36 PM »
I never put bumper stickers on my automobiles... It's a car, not a billboard.  Besides, I want to blend into the landscape as much as I can.

How about you?

I don't have an automobile. So I put bumper stickers on my laptop.

I used to, but I figured that the way I drive, I was not helping my various causes.

I will probably get some non-political ones though.  Bumper stickers are awesome.

NRA sticker.

It'll make my drive home to see my folks interesting, unless I chicken out and remove it.

Sometimes I'll have a sticker supporting an organization I'm a member of, such as the NRA.  No political slogans for me though, I don't believe anybody is going to be swayed by reading the back of my car.

One for-real bumper sticker, but on the left side of the tailgate rather than the bumper, reading "No Thanks - Keep the Change."

One square magnetic sign on the other side of the tailgate, reading "How Fast Can You Stop?"  Some tailgaters get the meaning before I lift my foot off the accellerator.  Others seem never to comprehend the import of the question.

stay safe.

I've got an NRA sticker on my car, and have for years.

I used to get grief for it when I lived in the People's Republic of California. Now that I live in America, other drivers with NRA stickers on their vehicles wave to me.

I generally have a sticker on at election time, but otherwise no. And I've never put stickers on my "toy" cars.

Nothing on the truck at the moment, as I'm not much for bumper stickers on my vehicle.  I may put one of the round USMC E,G&A stickers on the back window, one that my son got for me a few years ago.

No bumper stickers, but I do have an NRA Life Member sticky and an American flag sticky on the rear window of my pickup.

Years back before I'd even turned 20 I had one on my Jeep:

"Work Harder!  Millions on welfare depend on you!"

Started to think that was a bad idea around the time I got lost in St. Louis and noticed I was at the intersection of MLK Blvd. and Rosa Parks Dr.

I have bumper stickers but have not put them on yet. Mainly because my parents don't know about my political beliefs, and I'd rather keep it that way. Also now that I'm in the Navy I don't have my car with me.

You can always make your own bumper stickers.

I got mine from OfficeMax, although I don't see the product on their web site.

It's a package of six 8.5" x " 11" sheets, part number OM98058.

I haven't printed on them yet, but I'm looking forward to "Impeach barry".  Whoever that is.

The instructions say,

Quote
Easy to use:

1. Design your sticker on your home computer.
...
3. Put sticker sheet in your printer and print, then trim to size.
4. Place your creation anywhere you like! It's removable, repositionable, and leaves no messy residue behind.
If you want to prolong the quality and life of your print, spray lightly with clear acrylic gloss or matte sealant.

None for me, nor will I for now. Maybe a Disabled American Veterans sticker whenever I get around to joining them.
