Vacation pics
« on: September 20, 2009, 01:05:06 PM »
Went to the PNW (Vancouver/Portland mostly but stayed at a beach house for a bit too) with the fam to visit the inlaws before we move to Texas next month.

Anyway, it was my two year olds first visit to the beach and a much needed break before we ramp up for the move.

My son and I running from waves.

First ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory

Crater Lake Pano (full size 175 x 21")

Wizard Island at Crater Lake NP

Boat cruising around Wizard Island

Returning from a hike outside Mt St Helens, WA

My son Kyle and his namesake, Grandpa Kyle

Camera was a Canon 30d with a 24-105 L-series lens. Post processing was levels adjustment and sharpening in most cases.

Cool pics! The ones of your son are definite keepers!

Where in Texas are you moving?

San Angelo (west Texas south of Abilene....ie, middle of nowhere)

I lived there about 12 years ago for USAF training, and would rather not go back...especially since we only bought our house 18 mos. ago.

Great pics, esheato.  Treasure these moments with your little one.
Whereabouts on the coast were those pics taken?

Coastal pics were in Gearhart, Oregon. Wish I could have went swimming, but the Pacific up there isn't swimmin' ocean.

Up the road? I'm fairly certain I won't need much convincing to get out of town...what's there to do in that part of Texas?

My first thought on seeing those pictures: that looks like Sunset Beach.  ;)  I know that area well.   =)
