CoD MW2, sweater question?
« on: November 17, 2009, 12:02:04 PM »
O.K., this may seem a little . . . different but when I was playing CODMW2 last weekend I noted the gray sweaters that TF141 was wearing when hitting the safe house.

I cannot tell if they were Henleys or Dutch Commando sweaters or some sort of wooly pulley fleece.

I think that these would be great Christmas gifts especially for the winters here north of the Ohio River, but first I need to know if they really exist. =D

Can anyone help?  Any fashionistas here?

Texture looks like fleece to me.  It has a hood and what appears to be an elastic waist of some sort, so that says to me "jacket."  I bet it has a zipper in front.

May not be a real piece of clothing, but I'd look at fleece jackets with hoods.

Thanks, AZ.  I'll see if I can google it up.  L.L. Bean may have something close, but texture is off:

This is so cool that it must be European (if it exists).

Anyone else have better Google-fu than me?

North Face has something close, but still no cigar:

Do you think our European members would recognize this???

No, it screams Task Force 141.  That's Scarecrow who helps you defend the safehouse from the counterattack.

So, anyone know if this hoodie jacket thingy exists?  If so where can I buy it?

Odd. Does anybody have a clue what the zippers are for? I've seen somewhat similar stuff on motorcycle jackets, for ventilation. Would that signify a skiing/snowmobile jacket?
Here's something similar:

Any cold weather gear should have pit vents to prevent moisture build up when active.

That's a cold weather gear thing, not a particular activity.

El T, have you looked at the tactical clothing companies?  This game seems to be well researched as to all the proper gear and equipment.

Try these places:

TAD Gear
Tactical Tailor
Specter
Blackhawk

almost forgot: 511 Gear.

Gentlemen, I found it. This is almost an exact match to the one we see Ghost wearing. I know this a necro-post, but I had to share. After months of trying to find this jacket, here it is. The TAD Ranger Jacket.

Cabelas used to sell a wool SAS style sweater. I bought one years ago and its super warm when you are layering up, but it accidentally got in the wash machine and shrunk 2 sizes. :'(

looks like LLBean has them...  http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/43324?pi=719006&subrnd=0&qs=3016887_pmd_google_pla
