Anybody see Geitner on the telly?
« on: January 28, 2010, 05:33:29 PM »
I stopped at a hot dog place for lunch on the road yesterday and they were showing the telecast of the Congressional hearing. I happened to be there for a portion of Geitner's performance. All I can say is, "Dear God Almighty!"

I could not believe the guy's unbridled arrogance. There is simply no other word for it. I can't recall EVER seeing another Congressional hearing in which someone being questioned so consistently and so assertively interrupted and cut off the Congress critters.

If I wasn't absolutely certain before, I sure am now. That guy has gotta go.

And yet the notion of congresscritters being constantly interrupted in their own forum has a certain appeal.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Congress critters report to the people. Treasury Sec reports to Congress Critters. So yes, IMO people can interrupt congress critters.
