I need to buy several things via Ebay soon.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a sniper program?  Thanks!

I have a long range shooting simulator that's pretty good.  This is it:

Not really what I'm talking about.  I'm looking for a good auction sniping program that doesn't drad a lot of spyware with it.  Thanks anyway!

I've been running E-Snipe.  I've witnessed no spyware at all, and their servers seem to synchronize very well with e-Bay's master clock.  I've been very successful, I usually set it to snipe at the 4-second mark.  Obviously, you'll never snipe somebody who has a higher limit than your bid on their existing hidden limit, but at least you'll have a little advantage using E-Snipe.

Another thing to do/not do is bid before sniping.  Don't let anybody else know you're interested before the bidding goes into the last 5 seconds or so.  Then let your sniping software do the job.  Otherwise, it's tit-for-tat bidding which just raises the final price of the auction.

Thanks Gewehr98!  Yes, I know how to use them, and I'm pretty snipe savvy, I just haven't been in the circles for a year or more.

I also use e-snipe.  I set my top end price that I'm willing to pay.  If someone outbids me then so be it.  I usually research new prices and then go from there.   You have to keep an eye on shipping with e-bay sellers.  Some of them ask ungodly shipping fees.

With e-snipe you have to buy bid points which is like $15 for a large amount.  It's worth it though cause I have won quite a few things using e-snipe instead of trying to bid at the last second.

Does esnipe work with Macs?
