The Onion lampoons Google

With Google keeping more and more information about its users, the issue of privacy is getting serious. The Onion has had some fun with it here.

Pretty good stuff.

The company has also encouraged feedback, explaining that users can type any concerns they may still have into any open browser window or, if they are members of Google Voice, "simply speak directly into [their] phones right now."

Either way, the company said, "We'll know."

That line really made me laugh.

My mom has a G-mail account, and recently spent 20 min explaining to me that Facebook was a security risk because any one could look on it and see......that I have a facebook page, I guess.

That line really made me laugh.

Reminds me of an old Bloom County strip in which Opus(the penguin) was having a conversation with some FBI agent regarding decency/obscenity laws(and his violation of such as he, being a penguin, did not wear pants in public).  Opus raises a question about privacy or some such, paces slightly out of frame, and the voice on the other end says "please stay in view".
