Consider the following:
I personally believe - as many people here do - that business owners should be able, legally, to refuse service to anyone, anywhere.
But this isn't the law. For example, restaurant food isn't a right, it's a service. And yet it's illegal to turn away black customers -and as far as I am aware, trying to turn them away with WE DON'T LIKE BLACKS signs even if you actually do offer services is illegal too.
This seems to be parallel. The law, AFAIK, prohibits discrimination based on voting patterns, does it not?
Again, I oppose this law, just as I oppose, say, gun regulations. But it doesn't seem wise to openly violate the law, unless you're deliberately trying to get charged.
