That looks like fun.  The closest races to me are "North Dallas Hooptie" in Decatur, TX and "Yee Haw, it's LeMons Texas" in Angleton.  Both are several hours drive from here.

"Sears Pointless" and "Mutual Assured Destruction of Omaha"  :D

I'm thinking that the hard part is going to be finding something that runs for under $300 or so...

But before reaching the grid, you'll have to survive trials like the Personal-Injury-Lawyer Anti-Slalom, the Marxist-Valet Parking Challenge, and the Wide Open Throttle Rodthrowapalooza.

We've got one in PHX, it appears.  At least, we did earlier this year.

I could spring for $250 to split an entry car with someone (or less, with 3 someones).  I've got a truck that can pull a non-street-legal clunker to my home, no HOA to give me crap about working on a junker, a big backyard where we could work on such a car by my workshop out back.

I can find half a dozen working 80s CVPIs for under $300 up here. =D

Could be fun to get something together like that, though I did enjoy the "crash" derby I did years ago in a beat up Datsun. I "won".

You can get them quite inexpensively, and they're a dream to work on. Quickest maintenance of any car I've ever owned. Just changed the upper and lower control arms in forty minutes flat, in fact.

Sigh.
I thought this thread was about sour fruit.

Am I the only one that thought tis title said tour de lemons?
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

"Mutual Assured Destruction of Omaha"  :D

The first time around, I thought that said "Obama."  It was less delightful after that second look.  Still good, though.

"Mutual Assured Destruction of Omaha"  :D

Having spent most of my day on the phone with several various completely unhelpful mouthbreathers from Mutual of Ummmaha.....I can get behind that........ >:D >:D >:D
