When I bought my Mustang in January of 2008, the car salesman told me that the original bumper-to-bumper warranty was good until September of 2010.
Well, a few days ago I noticed that the fuel gauge doesn't go past half full after I've filled the tank. I did some checking and found out that this is a common problem on 2005-2007 Mustangs. There was a TSB (technical service bulletin) about the issue.
No, problem, I figure. I'll get the car in this week to get it fixed.
Call the dealership this morning and was told my warranty expired at the end of July. Great. Getting at the sending unit in the gas tank is time-consuming, meaning it's expensive.
Why couldn't the @#%^$ sending unit have gone on the fritz three weeks earlier?
