Read the article, could not watch the video.  Sounds like it was pretty fantastic.

Yeah, that's more than 5 seconds.  Is it hockey season yet?

Kid's gonna have to do something pretty spectacular to top that.  Too bad, because that may well prove to be the event that defines his life, and he's got a long time still to go.  [Would somebody please cue up Springsteen's "Glory Days"?]

Then again, he may prove to be one of those exceptional kids who can carry on in spite of that.  Let's hope so.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

That’s okay, I’ll do a play-by-play.  :)

It’s San Luis Obispo (SLO) 15, Kingsburg 13, with five seconds on the clock.  Kingsburg has the ball at their own 20 yard line.

Kingsburg lined up four receivers on the left and one on the right.  Kingsburg quarterback (QB) rolls right looking for a receiver.  He gets turned away and comes back left, evading defenders as he goes all the way back to his own 1 yard line.  Two SLO defenders appeared to have him boxed in, but one slipped on the turf and fell down.

Two Kingsburg players take out the remaining nearby defender with a great block.  QB continues rolling to his left, now heading up field.  The defender who previously fell down is now closing in on the QB.

The QB continues to the 19 yard line where he heaves a 40 yard pass to the SLO 40 yard line, where Kingsburg has two receivers and SLO only has one defender.

One of the Kingsburg receivers comes back a few yards to make the catch, and turns back upfield.  The other Kingsburg receiver drives the lone SLO defender to the ground, allowing the receiver with the ball to sprint 40 yards for the touchdown.

Kingsburg 19, SLO 15.

The highlights of this for me are the two great blocks on the defenders, the QB scrambling all the way from the right side to the left side via the 1 yard line, and the response of the crowd when they realize the Kingsburg receiver has caught the ball.
