NPR President - "Our Listeners Are Smarter"

Maybe at stating the obvious, as in her last paragraph, where Ms Obvious states the obvious. Otherwise, in comparison to her example of NPR listeners discussing balloon boy, I see discussions here that would make her brain hurt. :)

Actually, according to Rush some time back, a survey of his listeners seemed to indicate his listeners are smarter, more educated, and better all around folks.

If NPR's are more intelligent, then certainly they can figure out a way to keep public radio (and TV) running without taxpayer money.

Maybe Nancy Pelosi can help them -- they just compared her to Winston Churchill.

Libs have trouble understanding the logic paradox inherent to tautologies.

Nancy (Lady Astor):  Winston, if I were your wife, I would poison your tea.

Churchill:  Nancy, if I were your husband, I would drink it.

I can see where both her listeners would seem to be smarter, the probably get together every morning over a soy latte and compare notes before sending in their replies. ;/

Where have all the high-quality acid wits gone?  After Churchill and Mencken bit the dust, there has been a decided dearth of scathing remarks.

i doubt you want to know this, but you asked. =|

i worked with a college professor(he worked with kids in k-12 and students going to college to teach), way back when i was in middle/high school.

it was his firm belief(and mine now that i have friends/family with kids in K-12) that we were medicating the brighter kids into submission. =(

sorry about ruining your day.
