This is the problem with our society.

We feel respect for victims of horrific crimes, and they often get inverviewed on a variety of issues - as if being hit by a bus, shot by a terrorist, or whatnot, makes you an expert on the issue.

And then we have people getting outraged - OUTRAGED! - that their opinion isn't automatically accepted by all.  Why, he got shot in the leg!

Bye, bye gun rights. For some reason, that doesn't exactly evoke sympathy for the screamer in this case.
