No dam insurance, no drugs other then aspirin & no money to see a dentist - 300 mile round trip to see dentist even if I had the dough... I'm freaking hurting!

Honestly, I got through a year of needing a bad tooth fixed by just holding warm water in my mouth around it and not putting pressure on it 'til the worst of the pain subsided.  No idea if this would work for anyone else, though. I just kind of figured it out on my own.

Dentist school the next time you are near one? Otherwise, dunno. I've seen books on survival/emergency medicine & dentistry, but I have no idea how good they are...

Cloves tossed in hot water for a bit also work. It makes a sorta tea-like thing you can rinse with.

Some things will never get better without medical intervention.  A bum tooth is the top of the list.  You can delay the inevitable but you will end up in a dentists chair.

some one gave me a tablespoon of cloves, I will try that, got an old canker sore brush in a box with some stuff left on it-that and aspirin has been working a little. this sucks.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Aspirin or ibuprofen work on tooth aches.  Acetaminophen doesn't work at all.

Have you called the local health department? The local one does very basic stuff on emergency basis, for free.

Its not much, just yank the tooth and antibotics, but it solves the hurt.

If its a throbing pain, try to get a hold of some antibotics. And fyi, antibotics are antibotics are antibotics. I've taken the doggy stuff before.

Just a thought, TMCC dental school does dental work on the cheap or free.  Doesn't hurt to call.

2; whole clove placed on the tooth, leave it st there.
3; sliver of a clove of garlic.
4; chewing tobacco;  redman, beechnut. skoal & copehagen might work but not as well. It's why I started 30+ plus years ago & still can't quit.

I've been told, cloves.

You need to see a dentist.  Now or soon.  I know, I know about the money and insurance thing.  Believe me, I know.

Get yourself to a dentist post haste. Dont wait, it will just be painful longer.

I was on a rig years ago and my left lower wisdom tooth started acting up. Pain that would drop me to my knees. I tried the different remedies folks told me to no avail. I was lucky, no infection. Pain meds would not work. Finally got to a dentist, he knocked my arse out, pulled all wisdom teeth. The pain I had after the teeth were pulled was a walk in the park.

If it works the same in your part of NV as it does in mine...

I took someone to the county hospital for the same thing.  They told him they would help him out ONE time and one time only for tooth problems since this was a hospital and not a dentistry.  He got a shot and scrips for pain and antibiotics.  No actual dental work was done.  They just treated the infection/swelling and the pain.  The scrips were filled by the hospital pharmacy.  All was no cash on the spot, bills sent later.

It got him over the rough spots.  He's due to have work done by an actual dentist starting next month.  It ain't free, but he's managed to get some dental insurance so that he can afford it now.

Good luck, Gunsmith.  Obama can't/won't help you with this one!   =D  >:D

Home remedy for a toothache ?

Remove offending tooth.   A dentist is generally recommended.  =|

Most drug stores (walgreens, eckerds, etc...) sell oil of cloves. It works.

Ibuprofen is the best of the non-prescription pills.

Dental school is something I've been considering.

Chew on the side that don't hurt. ;/

Can you see whats going on? Get a small mirror and a flashlight and take a look around.
I have very sensitive teeth and almost no teeth problems my whole life.
I was in major pain one time, took a peek around and found a hunk of something hard jammed in my gum by the tooth. Pulled it out pain gone.
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.

A bottle of Jack Daniels and a good friend with a pair of pliers is the best home remedy I can think of.

Just suck it up and go to the dentist.
