Oooo, THAT sound. That's not autotune that's a high pitched double track harmony kind of thing. I kind of like it actually.

The production seems very clean to me too, which is something else I like.

I have to agree on the country pop part unfortunately. I saw "Rascal Flatts" and that whole introduction before she plays thing reminds me too much of the Flatts show so I know where all that is at. I will admit to liking the 20,000 or so daisy dukes as per a previous thread on the subject. But the show?

I will say that rascel flatts is not my favorite. I've never been into country music before the past year, but a lot of it strikes me as less 'country western' and a lot more 'rock fusion'. Which seems a logical progression for someone who loves bands like Flogging Molly (punk irish pub band) and bluegrass/oldtime as much as I do.

They do put a kick in your step, don't they. Older Carbon Leaf is nice too, for a mellow sound. I love the boderan.

The production bugs the crap out of me. I can't stop listening to her songs when they're on the radio because I'm trying to figure out what the heck they did to it.

There are parts of "Gun powder and lead" that drive me up the freaking wall.

I initially did not care for Miranda Lambert but she has turned into the small segment of new country I can stand. Decent voice and good songwriting. Value added that she is HAWT!!!

That said, Blake Shelton, we need to talk. Marry this chick? Really? Between Kerosene and Gunpowder and Lead I think we can get a pretty good idea of how this is going to go down if you piss her off.

Haven't heard Carbon Leaf lately, probably because I haven't passed through Richmond much. DK Murphys and Flogging Molly both fine to listen to.
