Reminds me of a story I heard years ago . . .
A Quaker, asleep in his upstairs bedroom, was woken by a sound in his house. Retrieving a shotgun, he went downstairs and confronted a burglar.
Quakers are known for their nonviolent ways . . . but he told the burglar "Brother, I would not harm thee for the world, but thou art standing where I am about to shoot."
